The USANA Associate Welcome Kit is your new team member’s first impression of USANA as their new business. In addition to providing the information a brand new USANA Associate needs to get started right, we also want to:

This personal development CD by Jim Rohn offers new Associates a glimpse into the life of a network marketing business owner and offers strategies for becoming successful from the very beginning. Be More Business Brochure (two, to share)
This brochure was specifically designed to help new Associates talk to a potential new team member about what they can gain from owning a USANA business. It focuses on the personal growth, sense of accomplishment, work flexibility, extra income, and more that can come from joining your USANA team. We’ve included Associate quotes and photographs, a full section of the brochure with all the information a new team member needs to know about us, and an insert with an easy-to-understand compensation plan explanation that includes the USANA Six Ways to Earn.

Business Swag
USANA swag items are included in the Welcome Kit to help new Associates have those first initial conversations about USANA with friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers easily and naturally. They can show off their new business swag and talk about everything included in the Welcome Kit with genuine excitement to garner the interest of those around them. The business swag items include a USANA-branded notebook and a metal USANA pen.

The business swag items are an exclusive gift with the Associate Welcome Kit and are not available through the USANA store.

The USANA Customer Catalog introduces potential customers and Associates to the USANA product line. It includes inspirational stories about real USANA Associates and product users, details all our products and their benefits, explains why supplementation is an important part of a healthy lifestyle, and includes background information about USANA as a company.

Lifestyle Swag
Similar to the business swag items, the lifestyle swag is designed to help ease a new Associate into conversations about USANA by providing some items they can show off and take around their closest social circle. The lifestyle swag includes a resistance band that complements the Workout Guide, plus a USANA-branded BlenderBottle, pillbox, and drawstring bag.

The lifestyle swag items are an exclusive gift with the Associate Welcome Kit and are not available through the USANA store.

Why is the USANA newspaper no longer available in the Welcome Kit?
All the information about USANA you love to share from the newspaper is now shortened and found in both the Customer Catalog and the Be More Business Brochure, the two core sales tools. It’s easier for your new team member to consume the information and keeps the sales tools focused on the prospective customer or team member and how partnering with USANA will benefit them.What about the Product Information Booklet?
The Product Information Booklet is still available as a digital download on Communication Edge for those interested in the science behind USANA’s high-quality products. This same information is also available on Ask the Scientists and on the product pages on the shopping cart.

Does this Welcome Kit replace the BDS or Starter Kit?
Yes, this Welcome Kit is the replacement/update for the Business Development System.

Why did the name change from BDS/Starter Kit to Welcome Kit?
For many outside of the USANA family, BDS, or Business Development System, has very little meaning. With all the acronyms a new Associate has to learn and teach to others, we wanted to simplify our message and make it friendly and inviting, like the USANA family itself. We want a new Associate to feel welcome and excited about starting their USANA business, not overwhelmed or believing they have to know everything about the products and the business in order to start sharing. We want them to feel confident in sharing USANA on their very first day with the business.

Why is there swag in a business-building kit?
In addition to adding excitement and creating a bond with the USANA brand, the swag items in the Welcome Kit are designed to help new Associates bring up USANA in a more comfortable and casual way as they get used to the direct sales model of business. They can use them to spark conversations with friends, family members, and coworkers about USANA and the products in a more natural way as they get started.

Why is there lifestyle stuff in a business-building kit?
Similar to the reasoning for the swag items, the lifestyle components of the kit are designed to:

Reinforce that the Associate has joined a company that truly values health and fitness. “USANA wants to make sure I succeed not just in business, but also in health.”
Give them a talking point with potential Associates and customers. “USANA is more than just supplements—they support all aspects of a healthy lifestyle, and that’s why they’re better than other companies.”
Help new Associates realize they will be more successful in this business if they live the #USANAlifestyle and become a product of the products. This is when potential customers notice a change and ask, “What are you doing, and how can I do it too?” It also helps Associates talk about the products and recommend them sincerely by talking about the difference the products made for them and their lifestyle.
