Question:

Which USANA products have Natural Product Number (NPN)?

Answer:

Non-prescription dietary supplements sold in Canada no longer carry a Drug Identification Number (DIN) because they are no longer considered drugs. They are now under the umbrella of the Natural Health Products division of Health Canada. In Canada, the majority of our products already contain a NPN (Natural Product Number) given by Health Canada to registered dietary supplements. The NPN numbers for USANA products are typically located right under the description of weight or tablet count on the front of the product. You can find registered products on the Health Canada website here. Just select "License holder name" in the first Search Field box, then "contains" in the operator box, then type "Usana" in the criteria box and go down to the bottom of the page and click search.

The following products currently have NPNs:

Active Calcium Chewable

Active Calcium Plus

BiOmega

Body Rox

CoQuinone 100

CoQuinone 30

We hope to have NPNs for all our other Nutritionals soon. However, the Natural Health Products Directorate in Canada is dealing with a huge backlog of applications right now, so there's no way for us to know how much longer the process might take.
