Online Retail and Auction Sites

Occasionally we receive questions regarding whether it is permissible for Associates to sell USANA products via Internet auction or retail sites, including but not limited to, eBay, Tabao, or Amazon. USANA prohibits Associates from selling in this manner for several reasons. First, USANA is dedicated to the network marketing channel as the means of spreading its products throughout the world. USANA chooses to bypass traditional methods of distribution and focus instead on direct selling to ensure that Associates do not face unfair competition. This means that USANA products may not be sold or displayed in commercial outlets, whether they be online or actual buildings. Sales of USANA products through unauthorized methods also infringe upon USANA's trademarks and copyrights.

USANA will continue in its efforts to stop unauthorized customers or other individuals from selling USANA products on Internet auction or retail sites. If you are an Associate who is currently selling USANA products on an Internet auction or retail site without realizing that your conduct violates the Associate Agreement, please immediately discontinue the practice. In order to preserve the great image USANA currently enjoys, we encourage Associates to continue to promote USANA through the network marketing channel.

Associates may not sell product in a retail establishment. However, you can sell and display USANA products in commercial outlets where professional services are the primary source of revenue and product sales are secondary. Examples of establishments where the primary source of revenue is a service, not retail sales, include (but are not limited to) gyms and health spas, beauty shops, and physicians' and chiropractors' offices.

If you have any further questions about this or any other ethics issue, please contact the USANA Ethics Department at Ethics@usana.com.
