I am a Grandmother of 10 and thought my days were numbered, but thanks to USANA, I was able to get my life back and look forward to many more years of healthy living.

John and I are retired from the corporate world and living in Arizona. We love the mild winters!  In the summer we travel to visit family and friends and get a few weeks relief from the hot weather.

John has back and hip problems from falling 18 ft. off the roof of our business almost 20 years ago.  I thought I was pretty healthy, for my age.

A year and a half ago I was diagnosed with an incurable, debilitating disease of the pancreas.  I was told that I would need to take enzymes for the rest of my life or run the risk of dying of malnutrition, since 50% of my pancreas had calcified and I could no longer digest food properly.   I was also told that I would have to increase the amount of enzymes as the disease progressed.  I also had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high blood sugar, and high liver enzymes.  In 4 months I lost 20 pounds. (I actually needed to lose weight so I guess you could call that "my little silver lining".)  The fact that I was taking mega doses of every supplement I could get my hands on, hadn't made any difference.

So I took 3 enzyme pills a day and 6 months later I had lost another 7 pounds.  (I didn't need to lose any more and the Dr. pointed this out.)  I upped the enzyme pills to 4 - 5 a day and managed to maintain my weight.  I was eating between 3000-4000 calories a day. (I called that another little silver lining.  I could eat all day and not gain a pound.)

Then I discovered Usana. I started taking the products. Tah Dah!  I have not had an enzyme pill in 6 months. I am maintaining my weight. I can no longer eat that many calories (darn!).  For me, Usana has been nothing short of a miracle.  All of my blood tests are normal.  Someone recently pointed out that I don't take two naps a day anymore. I feel great!  After 6 months off any medication, I returned to my Doctor and was told I no longer needed to check in every 6 months!  I'm released unless problems  develop!  Hurray!

As a side note, my dermatologist, who I also visit every  6 months, recently told me that my skin is looking so good, I can start coming once a year!  Wow!

And so I share my story and my information with others.  I try to help others because I am a nurse and that's what we do. My husband and I are happy to share both the health and the wealth of Usana with others.
