Job Description: Job Summary Assist in the management of the accounting cycle while exhibiting a sound working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Duties/Responsibilities: Job Summary Assist in the management of the accounting cycle while exhibiting a sound working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Essential Functions • Analyze, record, summarize and report financial information in accordance with established policies and procedures. • Exhibit an educated use of GAAP in analyzing, recording, summarizing and reporting financial information. • Exhibit insight, expertise and attention to detail in assigned function. • Ability to effectively work with Accounting and non-accounting personnel both domestically and internationally. • Ability to work under pressure, meet aggressive deadlines and make sound business decisions. • Continuously work to improve the reliability and relevance of financial information to maximize the decision making process. • Assist in developing policies and procedures to support department and corporate objectives. Additional Job Functions • Assist accounting personnel with month end closing procedures as assigned or needed. • Maintain a current education on USANA and its industry. • Understand and adhere to all GMP policies and procedures. • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Qualifications: Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Requirements • Strong written and oral communication skills. • Bachelor's degree in accounting. • 2 to 5 years of experience in accounting related function. • Ability to create, maintain and analyze financial statements of the Company. • Manage or supervise a process or a function within the Accounting Department (up to two employees supervised). • Current knowledge of accounting rules and the impact of those rules on the Company. • Working knowledge of computer and associated programs including ORACLE ERP, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and USANA’s Order Entry System. • Effectively and efficiently perform all essential job duties and responsibilities without direct supervision. • Ability to perform all essential position duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation without posing a direct safety threat to others or self.
