Supply Chain Planner II

Job Description: Supports the supply chain planning functions through assignments that will develop expertise in master planning and scheduling, international supply/demand planning and production scheduling.
Duties/Responsibilities: • Ensure efficient inventory management in assigned areas by monitoring inventory on hand, in transit inventory, sales trends, new products and/or promotions and regulatory requirements. • Monitoring all inventory and schedule data in ERP to ensure accuracy of critical corporate material records. • Prepares weekly schedules per policy and procedure guidelines to level load production and/or distribution departments. May also assist in projecting future labor and machine requirements. • Works with production, other planners, purchasing, international markets and labs to ensure all required materials are available on time for use. • May chair regular planning/production meetings weekly/daily. • Acts as liaison between QC, labs, purchasing, warehouse, R&D, etc. as required. • Greater understanding of Oracle ERP ASCP. Capable of optimizing order signals or exception messages using item attributes and order modifiers. • Prepares “what if” analysis as required. Review PCR’s and CO’s from the Agile system and Project Management and make recommendations where necessary. • Capacity to understand and work with multiple organization distribution methods. • Make inventory level and safety stock policy recommendations. • May chair regular planning/production meetings weekly/daily/monthly. • Communicates essential information relevant to exceptional customer service levels. • Prepares reports as required. • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications: • Bachelors degree or demonstrated abilities required. Minimum of 2 years experience in supply chain management. • Excellent verbal, written communication and math skills. • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Oracle E-business Suite ERP system, etc. • Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records. • Ability to efficiently and effectively perform all essential position duties and responsibilities with or without accommodation without posing a direct safety threat to others or self. • Capable with additional experience and training to be promoted to Planner III.
