To accomplish this, the USANA True Health Foundation will accept donations from a variety of sources—Associates, Preferred Customers, employees, the general public, and USANA Health Sciences—and transform those contributions into positive change where it’s needed most. The establishment of the foundation furthers USANA’s philanthropic mission. You will still be able to support previously-established efforts like Children’s Hunger Fund, but the USANA True Health Foundation also allows for a more global reach, giving members of the USANA family in all markets the ability to lend a helping hand and broadening the scope to include additional causes deemed worthy of aid.
The USANA True Health Foundation makes it easy to donate, and guarantees your money will be used efficiently and effectively. Not a single penny of your contribution will go to administrative costs—100 percent of every dollar will be committed to helping others. The foundation will also be able to respond quickly to those in urgent need, making your donation as impactful as possible.
All donations to the USANA True Health Foundation, including donations of Usanimals™ multi-vitamin and multi-mineral supplements, may be tax deductible. DONATION AVENUES
There are different ways to extend true health to others through your donations to the USANA True Health Foundation:
Area of Greatest Need
The USANA True Health Foundation Board of Directors decides how donations to the Area of Greatest Need are used. This guarantees the USANA True Health Foundation will be able to immediately release funds to help people in times of urgent need, allowing aid to quickly reach victims of disasters like Hurricane Katrina, Fukushima, the 2011 typhoons in the Philippines, or flooding in Thailand. The foundation’s mission to provide the most critical human needs to those who need it most guides the Board of Directors’ allocation of money from the general fund.
Children’s Hunger Fund
USANA Health Sciences has played an important role in the growth of Children’s Hunger Fund (CHF), and you may decide to continue supporting CHF with your donation. Since CHF began in 1991, $927 million in food and other resources have been distributed to serve the needs of more than 10 million children in 35 U.S. states and 72 countries worldwide. The USANA family has, to date, given more than $11 million in cash and Usanimals donations.
Sanoviv Medical Assistance Program
Sanoviv Medical Institute is a state-of-the-art facility that offers alternative, holistic, and integrative health programs to treat a wide range of diseases. Founded by Dr. Myron Wentz, the institute works hand in hand with the USANA True Health Foundation to heal the world of debilitating diseases. Donations made to the Sanoviv Medical Assistance Program will help people in need find answers and discover a personal, effective wellness program that will get them back on the path to true health.
