20 Highlights of the Last 20 Years

  1. 1992—Dr. Myron Wentz establishes USANA Health Sciences.
  2. 1996—Our corporate headquarters are built. Now, after a number of additions, it is an 80,000 square-foot facility.
  3. 1996—“We’re in Canada!” USANA is open for business in Canada and kicks off our ever-growing international expansion.
  4. 1996—Our name is on the ticker tape with our official listing on the NASDAQ National Market System (USNA). (We now trade on the New York Stock Exchange.)
  5. 1998—We expand into Australia and New Zealand. This requires TGA approval and meeting pharmaceutical-based Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This is our first outside audit and manufacturing certification.
  6. 1998—We surpass $100 million in annual sales.
  7. 1999—USANA is launched in Hong Kong. This is our introduction to the Asian markets.
  8. 1999—We sponsor our first athletes, the U.S. and Canada speed skating teams. We also start the Athlete Guarantee Program.
  9. 2001—The Independent Distributor Council (IDC), a council where elected Associates work with the management team to make USANA even better, is re-established.
  10. 2002—Olivol®, a key ingredient in Mega Antioxidant, is patented in the United States; the patent was submitted by our scientists, Dr. John Cuomo and Dr. Alexander Rabovsky.
  11. 2002—We reach out to make the world a better place with more than just our products. We begin charitable giving with Children’s Hunger Fund. (Ten years later our charitable efforts transform into a worldwide non-profit organization, the USANA True Health Foundation.)
  12. 2004—Sensé™ is re-launched with patented Self-Preserving Technology.
  13. 2006— Team USANA expands when we become the Official Health Supplement Supplier of the WTA.
  14. 2007—MyHealthPak™, the leader in personalized supplementation, is launched.
  15. 2008— Rev3 Energy® drink, our low-glycemic energy solution, hits the streets.
  16. 2009—Forbes.com names Dave Wentz one of “America’s 20 Most Powerful CEOs 40 and Under.”
  17. 2009—Million Dollar Club, our group of Associates who have earned at least $1 million USD in commissions*, grows to more than 130 Associates. (Now there are close to 200 members.)
  18. 2010—We expand into China, making USANA one of only 25 direct-selling companies legally operating in that country.
  19. 2011—The Healthy Home, a revolutionary book that hit The New York Times best-seller list, is written by Dr. Wentz and Dave Wentz.
  20. 2012—USANA is voted one of Outside Magazine’s “50 Best Places to Work” for the fourth year in a row.
