In the Beginning

In 1996, a physician encouraged me to take a look at USANA. I started the products and after a few weeks on the Essentials and Proflavanol, I felt I had more energy. I was skeptical, but did my own research in the nutritional field. I asked one of my physician friends to try the products. After a few weeks, she had a wonderful experience. I was surprised to see her lifestyle changes, but it created a paradigm shift for me.

My Role with USANA and Beyond

In 1998, I was chosen to serve on the USANA Medical Advisory Board. USANA provided me a platform to share information about good nutrition and nutritional supplementation in the healthy outcomes of children and adults...I am passionate about this. Parents will do more to attend to their children's health concerns than they will for themselves. The culmination of my research came with the publication of my book, How to Get Kids to Eat Great & Love It! (order a signed copy at my website, www.kidseatgreat.com). My goal is to educate families about the importance of starting young to create healthy eaters.

Why USANA?

Inferior manufacturing can destroy the greatest product formulations. USANA manufactures its own nutritional supplements and they voluntarily meet pharmaceutical Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The standards for pharmaceutical GMP are far stricter than the food GMP requirements set by the US government for supplements. USANA tests raw ingredients before they are mixed, the product during manufacturing, and for a final time before anything is sent to the customer. USANA's Quality Assurance team keeps track of every detail, from testing and evaluation of raw materials, to what happens to the products during shipping and storage.

The integrity of USANA is solid. I have met with Dr. Myron Wentz, the founder, and many of the scientists in USANA. They are postively committed to research and exceptional quality. USANA is cutting edge and they base product development on science, not popularity. Being a spokesperson for the company, I have had the opportunity to speak globally and have met people who have shared stories of how they're maintaining optimal health and financial freedom. Although many physicians would shy away from this business, I believe it is easy for physicians to take the products, and then discover the truth. Then, it becomes an education process. A physician is trained to educate patients and she should educate them and offer choices. Then explaining why she has chosen USANA personally, patients can make an informed decision. After all, what physician would prescribe something that they knew was inferior in quality?

My Journey Continues

USANA has offered a personal journey of educating myself and educating others. It is a remarkable company and I invite you to take a closer look. I could have easily said "no," to my friend in 1996 (and I almost did!), but my intuition and open-mindedness allowed me to explore the possibility. USANA has changed my life and where I am today. I will never be a day without my USANA nutritionals and the fabulous skin care line, Sense. I am a different person because of USANA and hope that you too, can discover the USANA difference.

$85,000 is the average annual income for established, full-time USANA Associates. $23,300 is the average annual income for Associates who earn as little as one commission check a month. Total includes all earnings from the compensation plan, Leadership Bonus, and contests and incentives. Calculations based on earnings between February 2008 and January 2009. Figures should not be considered as guarantees or projections of actual earnings, which result only from consistent, successful sales efforts. To be considered in a rank's earnings, Associates must have earned checks at a median rank for at least 16 weeks. According to results from an in-house survey taken between 2004 and 2006, the primary reason 17% of USANA independent business owners join the company is to improve their financial future. 21% of that group earns a check at least once a month. Of those whose primary reason is to earn enough to replace a full-time income, 41% have been Associates for at least one year and 56% are full-time Gold Directors and above. The number of Gold Directors and above who have maxed at least 1 Business Center during the year equals less than 1% of all Associates. Those earning as little as one check a month equal approximately 3% of all Associates. The average annual income for all 158,934 USANA Associates, including those who are brand new or who are not actively building a business, is $618.55, with nearly one in three earning a check. To date, USANA has more than 130 Million Dollar Club members.
